Notes

To elevate this meatloaf, consider sautéing the chopped onion before adding it to the mix; this softens its bite and sweetens its flavor. When mixing, use a light hand; overmixing ground meat can lead to a tough texture. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C) for food safety. For an even crust, brush the top of the meatloaf with a simple glaze (ketchup, Worcestershire, and a touch of brown sugar) halfway through baking. Allow the meatloaf to rest for at least 10 minutes after baking before slicing to allow the juices to redistribute, ensuring a moister result.
