Equipment

  • 1 Baking Sheet
  • 2 Mixing Bowls One for filling, one for melted butter
  • 1 Whisk or Spatula For cream cheese filling
  • 1 Pastry Brush For melted butter
  • 1 Parchment Paper For lining baking sheet

Ingredients

Main

  • Danish:
  • 2 Tubes - Pillsbury Butter Flaky Crescent Rolls
  • 1 Can - Wilderness Strawberry Pie Filling
  • 2 Tbs. - Butter melted
  • Filling:
  • 1 8 oz - Cream Cheese soft
  • 1/2 C. - Powder Sugar
  • 1/4 C. - Milk

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, 1/2 cup powder sugar, and 1/4 cup milk. Whisk until the mixture is smooth and creamy, ensuring no lumps remain.
  • Unroll both tubes of Pillsbury Butter Flaky Crescent Rolls onto the prepared baking sheet. Gently press the seams together to form a single large rectangle, ensuring all edges are sealed.
  • Evenly spread the prepared cream cheese mixture over the entire surface of the dough, leaving a small border (approximately 1/2 inch) around the edges.
  • Carefully spoon the Wilderness Strawberry Pie Filling over the cream cheese layer, spreading it gently to cover the surface, while still maintaining the dough border.
  • Melt the 2 tablespoons of butter in a small microwave-safe bowl. Using a pastry brush, lightly brush the exposed dough border with the melted butter for a rich, golden crust.
  • Bake the danish in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is set and bubbly.
  • Remove the danish from the oven and allow it to cool on the baking sheet for at least 10-15 minutes before slicing, which helps the filling set further.
  • Slice the danish into 8 even servings using a sharp knife.
  • Serve warm or at room temperature, optionally with a dusting of powdered sugar or a light glaze.

Notes

Ensure your cream cheese is at true room temperature for a lump-free, silky filling. For enhanced flavor, a touch of vanilla extract can be added to the cream cheese mixture. When pressing the crescent roll seams, be gentle but firm to prevent separation during baking. Monitor the danish closely in the oven, as crescent rolls can brown quickly; aim for a golden-brown finish. Consider a simple drizzle of powdered sugar glaze (powdered sugar with a splash of milk) once cooled for added sweetness and visual appeal.
