Notes

This slow cooker method is excellent for steel-cut oats, yielding a creamy texture without constant stirring. The mashed ripe bananas naturally sweeten the oats and contribute a wonderful aroma and smooth consistency as they break down overnight. Ensure your slow cooker is adequate for the volume; too small and it might overflow. The cinnamon stick infuses a subtle warmth; remove before serving. Toppings are key - provide a variety for customization, like nuts, seeds, fresh fruit, and milk alternatives.
