Notes

For an exceptional steak, always start with quality sirloin and allow it to come to room temperature before grilling for even cooking. Ensure your grill is screaming hot to achieve a beautiful sear, which locks in juices. Don't underestimate the power of resting the steak; it's non-negotiable for tenderness – let it rest 5-10 minutes after grilling to redistribute juices. The garlic butter benefits from fresh herbs like minced parsley added just before serving. For doneness, use your instant-read thermometer accurately, pulling the steak 5°F below your target as it will continue to cook while resting. This ensures a perfect medium without overcooking.
