Notes

For a truly luxurious texture, ensure your cream cheese is at room temperature and cut into smaller pieces before adding to prevent lumps; a whisk will aid in achieving a silky smooth consistency. While convenient, consider using freshly cooked, crumbled bacon instead of pre-made bits for a significant flavor and texture upgrade. Always taste and adjust salt and pepper, especially with processed ingredients like broth and cream of chicken soup, as sodium levels can vary. For an enhanced presentation and fresh counterpoint, garnish generously with fresh chopped chives or green onions and a dollop of sour cream or crème fraîche upon serving.
