Notes

For deeper flavor, consider adding a teaspoon of Dijon mustard to the sauce mixture to enhance the classic Cordon Bleu profile. Ensure the Swiss cheese is well distributed for even melting and flavor in every bite. The breadcrumb topping is key for texture, so cook it until perfectly golden and crisp, but be careful not to burn it. A touch of smoked paprika with the breadcrumbs can also add a subtle warmth. Finally, a garnish of fresh chopped chives or parsley after baking will elevate the presentation and add a fresh counterpoint to the rich dish.
