Notes

For an enhanced "cheeseburger" flavor, consider adding a teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce, a dash of ketchup, or a spoonful of yellow mustard to the ground beef mixture before combining. Be careful not to overcook the macaroni during its initial preparation, as it will continue to absorb liquid and cook further in the oven, preventing a mushy texture. Ensure the ground beef is thoroughly drained of grease to avoid an oily casserole. For a richer, creamier mac and cheese base, use milk instead of water when preparing the boxed mix. Garnish with chopped fresh chives or parsley after baking for a pop of color and freshness.
