Equipment

  • 1 Mixing Bowl
  • 1 Baking Sheet
  • 1 Chef's knife For chopping chicken and celery
  • 1 Spatula or Spoon For mixing ingredients

Ingredients

Main

  • 2 cups chopped cooked chicken
  • 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese
  • 1/4 cup celery finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup Frank's® RedHot® Buffalo Wings Sauce divided
  • 1 can 8 ounces refrigerated crescent dinner rolls

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure even baking.
  • In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the chopped cooked chicken, crumbled blue cheese, finely chopped celery, and 3 tablespoons of Frank's® RedHot® Buffalo Wings Sauce. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  • Carefully unroll the can of refrigerated crescent dinner rolls and separate the dough into 8 individual triangles.
  • Place about 2 tablespoons of the prepared chicken mixture onto the wider end of each crescent roll triangle.
  • Beginning from the wider end, carefully roll up each crescent triangle, ensuring the chicken filling is fully enclosed. Pinch and seal the edges firmly to prevent any filling from escaping during baking.
  • Arrange the rolled puffs seam-side down on an ungreased baking sheet, allowing some space between each for even cooking.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are visibly golden brown and puffed.
  • Once removed from the oven and while still hot, lightly brush or drizzle the remaining 1 tablespoon of Frank's® RedHot® Buffalo Wings Sauce over the baked puffs for an extra kick.
  • Serve the Buffalo Chicken Puffs warm as a delicious appetizer or a satisfying snack.

Notes

For optimal flavor and texture, use finely shredded chicken; a rotisserie chicken works perfectly for convenience. When mixing the filling, ensure all ingredients are evenly distributed for a balanced bite in each puff. When preparing the crescent dough, press seams firmly together to prevent leakage during baking. You can add a tablespoon of cream cheese to the filling for extra creaminess and to help bind it. Monitor baking closely; puffs should be golden brown and flaky. Serve immediately for best results, perhaps with extra blue cheese crumbles or a celery stick for garnish.
