Hello, Costco shoppers! Let’s talk about food. This store makes shopping a breeze for busy people. In addition to its famous rotisserie chicken, there are many other meal options. We’re curious to see if these can make cooking easier. There are many choices waiting for you, such as convenient taco shells or delicious salmon. These are usually more affordable than restaurant takeout.Trying popular products seems like an interesting task for us.

So, let’s get started with this taste test. We considered popularity, personal taste, and the actual quality of the food. Many of these items you might want to buy again. Let’s get started with the reviews of the first batch of foods as soon as possible.

Rotisserie chicken

First and foremost, we must mention the famous rotisserie chicken. I had heard about this chicken years ago. People always raved about it, but the price seemed to be the main deterrent. Finally, after purchasing one, I truly understood its appeal. You can simply remove the chicken from the packaging, making it incredibly convenient. This particular chicken has an exceptional flavor, and the quality remains consistently excellent with every batch.

Some people use it as the main course for a full dinner to save time, and it works great. Costco chicken is always fresh and juicy, and you can feel the crispy skin when you hold it.

When it comes to chicken, there’s also Chicken Street Tacos. Each kit includes all the ingredients needed to make twelve delicious tacos. You’ll get corn tortillas, chicken, cheese, cabbage, salsa, sour cream, and lime. The cilantro lime sour cream is the absolute best part—the flavor is always amazing.

I could eat all the tacos by myself when I’m hungry—the sour cream pairs so well with the chicken. The pre-packaged salsa is sometimes great, sometimes not so great, you know. This salsa is my favorite. I wish it were a bit spicier, maybe.

This meal is quick, easy, and nutritionally balanced. It’s perfect for one person or a family.

Meatloaf with Yukon gold mashed potatoes

And there’s also Meatloaf with Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes, a classic comfort food dish. I was curious about Costco’s version, so I bought it. Each tray contains meatloaf, gravy, and potatoes, along with butter. The instructions say to bake for an hour and enjoy a warm, comforting meal.

Although there are no vegetables, you can consider adding some simple side dishes without affecting the taste.

For example, you could buy some green beans or a salad. The meatloaf sauce tastes like tomato sauce, adding a touch of sweetness. However, the meatloaf itself is a bit bland, to be honest. Without the sauce, the meatloaf tastes ordinary. But the sauce makes the meatloaf taste better. For me, the meatloaf’s flavor isn’t quite to my liking.

Ah, now it’s time to talk about bell pepper stuffing. Sometimes these fillings are delicious, and other times they’re bland. The quality of the seasoning always makes all the difference, you know. A typical bell pepper stuffing usually contains meat, vegetables, and cheese. People consider them to be nutritious and low-carb healthy foods. Costco’s bell pepper stuffing comes in packs of six, and it’s true.

Each pepper contains ground beef and rice, plus a cheese filling. They can typically be served as a main dish or a side dish. But to be honest, they didn’t meet my expectations—the flavor was very mild for my taste, which is a shame. I had to add hot sauce to enhance the flavor. Even with the hot sauce, they weren’t particularly delicious. My brother seemed to like them more than I did. They’re edible, but I don’t plan on purchasing them again.Making the filling at home seems like a better option.

Beef chili

Sometimes you just want to pair some beef chili with a main dish, right? But making chili sauce from scratch always takes time and effort. Luckily, these chili sauces from Costco are already made and topped with cheese and parsley. They look great and add a little extra flavor, you know.

The chili sauce is made with beef and beans, making it a protein-rich option. It contains a significant amount of protein, making it ideal for those looking for a filling meal. However, it is high in sodium, containing 1,380 milligrams. Please keep this in mind when planning your diet.

This chili sauce has a rich flavor and is perfectly seasoned. It’s perfect for cold nights or when you’re craving comfort food. It reminds me of the chili sauce my grandfather used to make, which was great with hot dogs or Cincinnati-style chili. Even the picky Reddit users rave about it, which is enough proof that this chili sauce is the winner here.

Rotisserie chicken noodle soup

Costco’s rotisserie chicken is now incredibly popular, there’s no doubt about that. So it’s no surprise that they’ve come up with more ways to use it. One of those ways is this Rotisserie Chicken Noodle Soup. I usually like to eat soup when the weather gets colder, like in the fall. But I decided to give it a try on a warmer night to see how it compares to plain chicken soup.

Costco doesn’t skimp on this. You get big chunks of tender chicken, plus perfectly cooked carrots and celery. This isn’t just a thin broth. No. It’s packed with hearty ingredients. The soup has a subtle peppery kick that keeps me coming back for more. There’s no need to worry about the bag leaking. The price is indeed higher than canned soup, that’s true. It’s priced by the pound, and the container is large. A larger container means you can spend close to $20.

After trying it, I have no complaints about the price. In terms of quality and taste, it’s absolutely worth it. If you need something warm or comforting, this is a great option.

Easy Chicken Noodle Soup

Grab a rotisserie chicken, and you’re 30 minutes away from homemade soup for dinner.
Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time 20 minutes
Total Time 35 minutes
Servings 4
Calories 502 kcal

Ingredients

  • 8  ounces  egg noodles
  • 1  tablespoon  melted butter
  • 2  tablespoons  olive oil
  • cup  white onion  diced (1 medium onion)
  • 1 cup  celery diced (about 2 stalks)
  • 1 cup carrots diced (2 medium carrots)
  • 2  cloves  garlic  minced
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 4  cups  chicken stock
  • 2  cups  shredded chicken from a store-bought rotisserie chicken
  • Fresh parsley for garnish
  • Crackers for serving
  • 2  large eggs

Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil and cook the egg noodles according to package directions. Strain and toss with butter.
  • In a large pot, warm the olive oil over medium heat. Add onion, celery, and carrots. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes until vegetables soften. Then add garlic and season with salt and pepper. Cook for another minute.
  • Add chicken stock and bring soup to a simmer. Stir in shredded chicken and simmer for a few minutes to combine flavors. Taste soup and season with salt and pepper.
  • Add 1/2-inch of water to a medium pot over high heat. Cover and bring to a rapid boil. Add the eggs and cover. The water will not completely cover the eggs. That’s OK. Return water to a rapid boil and cook eggs for 6 1/2 minutes.
Immediately remove the pot from the heat and remove lid. Run the pot under cold water for 30 seconds to stop the cooking.
  • Divide the egg noodles among the bowls and spoon in the soup. Once the eggs are cool enough to handle, peel them carefully and slide them into the bowl on top of the soup. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with crackers.
