  • Poor texture overpowers any potential Savor.
  • Low-quality breading combined with badly cooked meat makes it a forgettable menu item. 

For those willing to give them a try, a bold dipping sauce can make the experience slightly better. A spicy hot sauce provides a punch that covers up the tender’s flaws temporarily. The fact remains, though, that these strips are mostly skippable even for devoted Del Taco enthusiasts. They remind us that even beloved chains can get it wrong when it comes to bringing a classic menu item to life. 

2. Sonic Crispy Chicken Tenders 

Following close behind are Sonic Crispy Chicken Tenders, which seem to be stuck in a previous era of fast food. While chains have moved to modernize their method of providing freshly breaded, whole-cut chicken, these tenders seem to have been in a freezer instead of a fryer. For those that do go to DQ, it might be best to save the sweet stuff and pass on these run-of-the-mill tenders.

5. Jack in the Box Crispy Chicken Tenders 

Jack in the Box used to have consistently enjoyable tenders, but things have taken a turn for the worse recently.
