It is often said that hunger is the ultimate flavoring. However, our stomachs can growl like a hungry bear. Even so, there are some places we would never eat at. These restaurants may have rave reviews and beautiful in-store settings. The reasons for avoiding them range from hilarious to confusing.
Sometimes the overly experimental menus do leave us quite confused. We will discuss the top five restaurants that we politely declined.
First up is Fireoor Restaurant, who cooks exactly as the name suggests, using wood and open flames to cook their food. This is actually ideal for most chefs or foodies. Plus, they feature ultra-seasonal dishes cooked with the best produce. However, herein lies the trickiest part of dining here – there are no air conditioning units inside the store.
Except in winter, just sitting close and watching the chef cook can make you feel hot. Take, for example, the flame-grilled asparagus. Every time you have dinner you’ll feel like you’ve experienced a hot summer barbecue.
You might think it’s just for casual guests who want to get in? Oh dear, not when it’s so hot in Sydney. It’s not nice to be sweating while dining.

The second one we’ll discuss is Olympic Meats, they are a restaurant with a southern Greek flair and their dishes might give Greeks a taste of home. Dishes priced at no more than $21 can be found in abundance on their menu. This is friendly to many diners.
But you must also bring your patience here. Because of its popularity, you simply can’t always get a reservation here. Also, you need to bring your own drinks here. So you need to go to the grocery store before dining. Of course the food itself is certainly good, there’s no doubt about that.
But when you feel hungry, you must not have the patience to think about some of the hassles you need to face to enter this restaurant. In addition, they offer an interesting “Big Mac Sauce” option. We’re torn between nostalgia and the weird idea of fusion experimentation. yamas feels more like saying maybe next time will be better.

Another thing I’m going to tell about is Neptune’s Grotto, which is an underground cave restaurant with an Italian-inspired theme – doesn’t that sound very romantic and mysterious? This restaurant also promises a very nice wine selection.
But trying to get a reservation here feels like a grueling game. It’s like playing musical chairs blindfolded. And if you’re lucky enough to get a reservation, the hours are weird. The odds are that you need to be prepared to dine on time at 5:30 PM or 10:00 PM. The evening hours seem to be reserved for lottery winners.
The candle-lit interior is certainly beautiful and will give a great feeling. But the loud Italian music inside can be a little disorienting, plus the tension over the final bill. Suddenly, you might feel like eating pasta at home seems like a safer option.

Next up is about Café Paci, and I have to say that Café Paci is a popular place for food lovers. Many people enjoy the ingenious cross-cultural platters served here. But really, for amateurs or casual diners, the desserts combine the specialties of various cultures, and some of the names sound very weird indeed. When we’re hungry, all we ask for are simple names. Names that are comforting and easy to read.
Their natural wine list may impress your wine-loving friends. For us, it was like betting on a mystery bottle of wine.

The last one we mentioned is Porkfat – if you’re a huge pork lover, this place will make you feel like heaven. On the flip side, it’s a nightmare for others. Every dish here is cooked using only pork fat, which is said to add a rich layer of flavor to the food. Still, for those of us who aren’t ready to fully immerse ourselves in pork, it’s not always an option.
The idea of pork fried fish is now even more overwhelming. It comes with a mango salad on top. Also, when you’re not sure about the menu, buying wine becomes too important. There are just too many steps to take to shop for wine here, plus the fiery flavors and heat in the restaurant.
Hunger is the best seasoning, but even it eventually has its limits. These great places that are special favorites remind us that sometimes simple is best. When it comes to dining, convenience is the true luxury. So the next time your stomach is rumbling, make sure you think twice before dining at one of these places. Hunger doesn’t really wait for anyone, but these places may keep you waiting for a long time. In short, these places will cost you too much money.
