In the heart of downtown Indianapolis, nestled alongside the beautiful Canal Walk, you’ll come across Burgeezy. As Indy’s first plant-based burger joint, this over-the-counter burger joint proves that meatless doesn’t have to be lacking in satisfaction. Their menu is completely free of dairy, meat, and eggs. But if you think that means no flavor, then why not come in and taste it for yourself.
Burgeezy is committed to bold flavors, refreshing sensations, and hearty meals. Whether you’re a longtime vegetarian or not sure if you eat meat, you’ll be hooked. Let’s discuss their Jr. House Cheeseburger. Their homemade patty is grilled just right. It’s piled high with American cheese, crisp lettuce, juicy tomato, grilled onions, pickles and special sauce. This creates a burger that rivals any beef patty in the entire city. If you’re super hungry right now, you can have two more.

Whenever you cruise along the Kamehameha Highway along Oahu’s North Shore, you can’t miss the ancient Crouching Lion. This magnificent structure sits at the base of a mountain called Pu‘u Manamana. It even got its name from the strange rock formations on the ridge! It has a very interesting history indeed.
Back in 1952, Reginald Faithful converted his home in Ka‘a‘awa into an inn and restaurant. For decades, the restaurant was literally the only sit-down restaurant for miles around. The dishes it served were all European-inspired. With sweeping views of the Kahana Bay area, it has captured the attention of many passersby over the years.
Fast forward to 2022. Former college professor Eddie Kim has been driving by this place for years and thinking about it. He and a business partner bought the defunct restaurant. Kim has meticulously renovated the interior of the restaurant, preserving the building’s old look. He even cleverly repurposed items like bed frames. Now, the bed frames are a feature of the bar. There is also a surprisingly cheap chandelier. He shared that The Crouching Lion has touched the lives of many people. He hopes that this place will be a special place for people to reminisce and welcome new diners.
The restaurant officially reopened in May 2024. In fact, it had been closed for nearly a decade. Soon, it became very difficult to make a reservation. This is because it was crowded! Walking into the restaurant, you will immediately be attracted by the open-air dining area. This is part of a large terrace with a stunning view of the Pacific Ocean. The interior of the restaurant is quite modern, but also gives a warm feeling, which blends perfectly with the charming surroundings.
The restaurant has a raw bar and serves fresh seafood. In addition, the restaurant is equipped with an outdoor robata grill, which serves premium meats and local vegetables. In addition, there are delicacies such as Kahuku sweet potatoes and Hamakua mushrooms that melt in your mouth. It reflects the family-centered culture of Hawaii. Here, you can share everything at home.

Okay, avocado lovers, listen up! You must check out Avocadoria at AMK Hub shopping mall. Originally from the Philippines, this brand is known for its tangy avocado desserts. As an avocado lover, I couldn’t resist trying it out. It was absolutely worth every moment I spent there!
The best part for me is the Avocado Lover’s Special. Rich avocado ice cream is layered with delicious homemade cookies and added with chewy tapioca pearls. Finally, it’s topped off with real avocado shreds, healthy chia seeds, and crunchy toasted almonds. The overall taste is rich, full, satisfying, and surprisingly light at the same time.
Their avocado shake drinks are refreshing and perfectly blend fresh avocado with just the right amount of sweetness. If you’re more adventurous, the dark chocolate avocado shake is also a good choice. It strikes the perfect balance between the delicious taste of dark chocolate and the smooth taste of avocado.

Taiwanese Restaurant is located inside AMK Hub. Thanks to Fong Sheng Hao for opening! This restaurant is a real gem in Taiwan. It is known for serving large portions and delicious dishes. I devoured their Salted Egg Chicken Rice. Wow, it did not disappoint! The chicken nuggets were fried to a crispy perfection. The chicken nuggets were drizzled with their homemade rich salted egg sauce. The sauce was very creamy. It tasted very rich and special.
Another dish that impressed me was the Taiwanese Pork Cake. This cake was made with homemade minced pork and it was really dazzling! The gravy was rich and the taste was excellent. It was obvious that the preparation of this dish was very skillful. This dish may seem simple, but it highlights the quality of the ingredients and the craftsmanship of the preparation.
Lastly, I tried their Milk and Butter Toast. It was a real surprise. The homemade bread was full of the aroma of milk and butter in every bite. The milk and butter crumbs on the top layer gave a crispy taste. And their signature milk tea was also very smooth.

There’s one stall you should definitely stop at for something sweet or savory. That’s Talad Thai Banana! It serves up authentic Thai street food that people love.
The best part is that everything they sell is freshly made. It’s super crispy right now. And it’s served warm. You absolutely must try their fried bananas. They take a perfectly ripe banana, coat it in a thin layer of crispy batter, and then deep-fry it until golden. It’s so delicious with a crispy outside and a sweet, soft inside.
Their fried yam is just as delicious. It has a rich earthy sweetness wrapped in a crispy exterior. It’s a simple snack, but it’s addictive and perfect for a quick snack.
Their fried sweet potato balls are also a perennial favorite. These bite-sized treats have an amazing chewiness with a hint of natural sweetness and a slightly crispy exterior.

Exploring food is it truly. One bite, one dish, one experience at time is good. Happy eating, everyone who reads this.
